THE transfer of Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Sentamu to PSL side Ajax Cape Town has fallen through.

Vipers SC secretary Harunah Kyobe revealed today that the player missed an opportunity to join Ajax Cape Town in South Africa before the transfer window slammed shut on January 31.

He said that after discussions with his counterpart at Ajax, Sentamu will have another opportunity in June.

“Sentamu missed the opportunity in January because he had to visit his home and could not travel to South Africa. So I can confirm that the deal collapsed until the next transfer window in June,” Kyobe said.

Media reports have continued to link Sentamu with a big money move to PSL sides Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic.

Sentamu is expected to lead former champions and table toppers Vipers’ attack as they begin their FUFA Super League second round campaign when they host Proline on Friday.
