The Finance Ministry director for economic affairs, Lawrence Kiza called upon Indians living in Uganda to train Ugandans with skills such that they do not have to spend much on bringing experts from India giving reasons that Ugandans have no skills.
“Ugandans are bright, all they need is training and they will offer a great job, so my call to Indians who have investments in Uganda is to train Ugandans. Give them a chance to work freely and also encourage them to be committed to their work, He said
Kiza also advised people responsible to standardise the field of accounting in Uganda such that it reaches that of India.
The Chapter is expected to help, support, promote and foster a sense of community, loyalty, fellowship, fraternalism, partnership and professionalism among the members of the ICAI.
It will also provide information and guidance to its members.
