Dressing for the hot season

Feb 03, 2014

Wear light weight clothes. If you have had a linen piece tucked away somewhere, this is the time to bring it out. Whether long-sleeved, short sleeved or sleeveless, linen tops remain light and airy and can be great for the office and even for outings.

Plain or printed chiffon tops should be another trendy addition to your wardrobe. Lacey tops have also become really popular for a hot day. Plus, colour does matter. Wear light-coloured clothes which are known to reflect heat. These will keep you feeling cool.

Knee length or shirt dresses are a classic. Wear them belted and buttoned-up by day or carry it off with bold bangles and a clutch by night.

For your head, it is time to get a wide hair band or wrap so that you keep hair away from your face and neck.
On your list of buys, do not forget to include open shoes, a pair of shades, and if you are an outdoor person, a hat to protect the face and eyes.
