South Africa-based Uganda socialist Ivan Ssemwanga has given Uganda Cranes sh10m ahead of today`s encounter with Morocco.

He has also promised another sh20m if they qualify for the quarter-finals of the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN).

Ssemwanga, who was accompanied by his friends King Lawrence and Eddie Kyeyune, handed over the cash to Cranes Captain Denis Iguma immediately after their training at their Garden Courts Nelson Mandela Boulevard Hotel in Cape Town.

Iguma thanked Semwanga for the generous offer.

Last year, Ssemwanga rewarded Cranes with sh10m after their win against Angola in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

While addressing the players, Ssemwanga stated that: “I am number one fan of the Cranes here in Cape Town.  I support you and will be present in the stadium when you are playing morocco. If you make it, more will come your way.”

Cranes take on Morocco in the last game of the group B at Cape Town Stadium while Burkina Faso battle Zimbabwe at the same time in Athlone Stadium.

Meanwhile, South Africa coach Gordon Igesund has blamed Bafana Bafana's elimination from the CHAN championship on the local clubs in South Africa that don’t give players enough time to rest.

South Africa was humiliated by Nigeria Sunday with 3-1 in front of a fully packed Cape Town Stadium joining Mali in the quarterfinals. Mali beat Mozambique 2-1.

An emergency Press briefing has been called by South African Minister of Sports and recreation Hon Fikile Mbalula to explain Bafana Bafana`s exit.
