Makerere finally sets date for graduation

Makerere University has issued the dates for its 64th graduation ceremony slated to take place later this month.

According to a circular issued by Makerere University Academic Registrar Alfred Masikye, the institution’s 64th Graduation Ceremony will take place for four days, from Tuesday January 28 to Friday January 31 2014.

Makerere University Council (The institution’s supreme governing body) approved the graduation date at its 129th meeting held on December 10 2013.

In the same meeting, also approved was the date for the 65th graduation ceremony slated to take place from Tuesday January 28 2015 to Friday January 3 2015.

Last year, Uganda’s oldest university graduated over 12,555 students, the biggest number ever in the institution’s 90-year history.
Nonetheless, it is expected that even bigger numbers will be graduated by the university this year.
