RUGBY crazy coach Ham Onsando could not afford taking a back seat after parting ways with G4S Pirates recently.
The former Kenyan international returned to his former club Sadolin Mongers and the move paid off as the side stunned defending champions MTN Heathens 10-5 in the Nile Special Premier League last weekend.
“I think I am more comfortable handling the young and determined boys at Mongers,” Onsando said.
He added, “these players have a bright future and what they need is proper guidance.” Onsando handled Pirates in the Uganda Cup and for one game during the league last season.
He was in charge of Mongers from 2007 to 2009 before handling the Rugby Cranes team later.
