KAMPALA - Mulago national hospital referral hospital has received a donation of compound seats worth sh12 million.

Speaking while receiving the donation from Jasani Foundation, the hospital’s executive director Dr. Baterena Byarugaba said the seats will be handy to patients who may need to rest in the compound.

It will also reduce the congestion by people seeking medical attention in the various hospital wards.

Dr. Byarugaba believed the donation had come at a time when the health facility was in serious need of seats.

Some patients have been sitting on mats and clothes, he said, adding that the metallic furniture will be placed in the hospital’s compounds.

The director of Jasani Foundation, Kareem Jassani said the donation was part of their social responsibility.

They had realized that many patients who needed to rest outside had nowhere to sit.
