TEAM Uganda put up their best performance ever to take a commanding lead in the East Africa Challenge at the Great Rift Valley Golf Resort in Naivasha, Kenya yesterday.
Uganda, who went into Day 2 topping the chart with seven points, half a point ahead of Tanzania, convincingly won all their matches in the foursomes and four-ball better-ball rounds yesterday.
Coach Deo Akope’s team goes for the decisive single matchplay today four points ahead of defending champions Kenya. While Tanzania has also kept tabs on Uganda, Akope singles out Kenya as the team to beat.
“We lead Kenya by four points. We go for five wins tomorrow (today) and we are champions,” Akope told New Vision Sport.
