VISITORS to the home of Hannington Nsubuga and his wife Josephine Nammanda, often wonder why the couple opted to establish a trophy shop in their sitting room and not elsewhere until they are enlightened that it is just their collection of silverware over the years.

The couple have a collection of 41 titles in beach volleyball since early 2000s and picked the latest at the Castle Lite National Beach Volleyball Tour at Lido Beach on Sunday.

Nsubuga has 32 titles to his name since early 2000s when Uganda started beach volleyball while Nammanda, who picked interest in the game following her then boyfriend’s achievements, has eight so far to her credit displayed in their sitting room.

“We have kept all the trophies in our sitting room. They motivate us to do even better every time we set off to the beach. I like Jose (Nammanda) because she is a go-getter. Our target is to introduce the game to our children,” said Nsubuga after their latest achievement.
