FALCONS basketball club President Denis Mbidde has pledged to offer 100 percent commitment into his new role as a National Council of Sports (NCS) board member.

“I promise to work with diligence, integrity, utmost honesty and determination not withstanding that my key motive in life is ‘To Strive for Excellence’,” Mbidde stated soon after his appointment by state sports minister Charles Bakkabulindi on Friday.

The brief function that took place at the Ministry of Education boardroom saw Mbidde and former Diary FC coach William Beyeza named on the committee as replacements for Peninah Kabenge and John Ssekyanzi respectively.

“I have a successful career span of 13 years with extensive experience and specialization in the areas of sales, marketing, customer care, public relations and strategy development. In other areas I have expertise in human resource management, project management, finance and investment management, eight years of which are at top management,” he added.

John Bosco Onyik was retained as board chairman. “I have made the changes because there is a demand for more self-sustenance and I believe that the new board will work towards this,” said Bakkabulindi.

The board: Onyik, Charles Egou, Margaret Rwabushaija, Patrick Okanya, Zubairi Galiwango, Kato Kawuma, Badru Sabira, Andrew Sorowen, Sammy Odong, Dennis Mbidde and William Beyeza.
