Former World steeple chase champion, Dorcus Inzikuru’s estranged husband, Bosco Acidri has passed on.

Former World steeple chase champion, Dorcus Inzikuru’s estranged husband, Bosco Acidri Martin has passed on.


According to the death certificate,  Acidri succumbed to a combination of ailments that included, Severe anemia,  Liver Serosis, portal hypertension and Hepatitis B.

He died at about 5:00 pm on Monday shortly after blood was secured to be to transfused on him at Arua regional referral hospital ward.

The death certificate that New Vision obtained from the deceased’s younger brother, Ronald Candia, on Tuesday, indicates that, the  deceased was admitted last Thursday after he developed stomach complications which made him vomit blood.

Candia said his late brother revealed  the cause of his sickness as having started as a stomach complication after a meal he had during a workshop last September.

The complication later culminated into severe ailment that led to severe vomiting.

“He was readmitted at Arua referral hospital last Thursday after efforts to seek treatment from Munguci clinic yielded no fruit. At one moment he vomited blood stained substances that nearly filled a basin,” Candia said.

Acidri, a former accountant at Kuluva Mission Hospital, Adumi health center IV and also worked at Arua district for two years before he passed on.

He got married to Inzikuru but the couple separted in February 2012 after Inzikuru allegedly found another woman in her matrimonial bedroom.

This prompted her to vandalize their matrimonial house at Komite village, Pajulu sub-county, Arua district.

Inzikuru removed the iron sheets from the house they jointly built after that incident. The woman declined to identify herself telling Inzikuru to ask Acidri.

According to Candia, the deceased will be buried at there ancestral home in Adibo village, Addra parish in Madi Offaka on Wednesday.
