The long awaited second annual Kampala Twins Festival is here, with a special pull-out in Sunday Vision tomorrow and a luncheon at Hotel International, in Muyenga.

The 16-page pull-out will carry stories of different pairs of twins to thrill and tickle you.

Stories to look out for in the special publication include that of a retired Catholic Archbishop who joined priesthood with his twin, a nalongo in the army, as well as twins who are serving God as priest and pastor respectively.

The Festival is an annual event inaugurated by Sunday Vision to celebrate twins in Uganda every first Sunday of August. This year, Hotel International has partnered with Vision Group to co-sponsor the event.

Charles Wendo, the Sunday Vision editor, said: “The festival is in line with our brand as the leading family paper in the country. Twins and their parents are special in the African culture and Sunday Vision chose to recognise them by inaugurating an annual event that brings them together.”

At the invite-only event, twins from all walks of life and of various ages will be treated to a sumptuous luncheon, various fun activities and competitive games.

Wendo promised that with the hotel’s contribution, the twins can expect an exciting and memorable afternoon spent with fellow twins.

A total of 80 people, who will include twins and their parents, will participate in different games and activities, such as word games, bouncing castle and quizzes. They were selected from among those who have been sending their stories and photos to Sunday Vision, following an announcement about a month ago.
