Others who picked forms include former Bukoto South legislator, Hajji Muyanja Mbabaali has who wants to contest for three positions including parliamentary seat for Bukoto South, NRM chairperson for Lwengo district and Vice chairperson for Central region.

The EC chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi received Hajji Mbabaali and led him to the tables where he was registered and given the forms.

Mbabaali lost the seat to incumbent Democratic Party Secretary General, Matia Nsubuga after the high court disqualified him over academic papers.

But recently in a press briefing at his offices at Serena Conference Center in Kampala, Hajji Mbabaali showed his new academic papers including a Diploma, and assured his voters that he qualified to stand for the seat again using new academic papers.

Mbabaali who had been nominated minister for finance in charge of investments said after picking his nomination papers that nothing would block him from contesting for the seat, which he said he wanted to regain in order to continue with his programs of alleviating poverty in his constituency, Lwengo district and Buganda region.

Muyanja will battle out with Lwengo District woman MP, Gertrude Nakabira who said she had left the district parliamentary seat to contest for Bukoto South.

Presidential adviser on land matters, Dr. Sarah Nkonge last week also picked forms expressing interest to contest for the Lwengo district woman parliamentary seat.

Judith Babirye said she wants to help her people move from substance agriculture to commercial agriculture. She however said she would continue to glorify God even in parliament and said she was ‘favored’ to win the seat.
