Four supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and one policeman were killed in Egypt on Friday, as clashes erupted in several cities between Islamist protesters and security forces.

Four supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and one policeman were killed in Egypt on Friday, as clashes erupted in several cities between Islamist protesters and security forces.

Four Morsi loyalists were killed in clashes with security forces in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya, a security official said.

In the capital, one police conscript was killed when a checkpoint was ambushed by gunmen, a security official in Cairo said. AFP
