Arthur Blick Jr. will represent Uganda in the Kalahari Desert Speed Week due from September 19 to 26 in Northern Cape Town in South Africa where motocross riders are out to set speed records.

The 10-time national champion (below) will ride a bike dubbed Super Boda assembled in Kampala by Uganda and German engineers.

“I will travel to South Africa. But I will start testing the bike around August after it is ready,” Blick said.

He added that he will use the opportunity not only to improve on his skills but also lobby for technical support that will help on capacity building for Uganda motocross.

“I think this is an opportunity to also lobby for training and other technical support to Uganda riders,” Blick added.

On return from South Africa, Blick will become the “Trans boda ambassador” a project pioneered by Kiira Motors Project to aid the rural areas by easing their transport issues.
