Former Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) top rebel commander Dominic Ogwen Tuesday made another appearance before Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (ICC) during a status conference.

 
The conference was held before Single Judge Cuno Tarfusser.
 
Ongwen who was present in court was represented by his lead counsel, Krispus Ayena Odongo.
 
According to the ICC, the status conference is required under Rules of Procedure to inform the court as to how the case is proceeding, the discovery that has been conducted on the likely length of trial, and other matters relevant to moving the case toward trial.
 
The opening of the confirmation of charges hearing against Ongwen will take place on January 21, 2016.
 
Ongwen faces a total of seven counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including rape, murder and enslavement.
 
The charges all relate to an attack on the Internally Displaced People's (IDP) camps in northern Uganda.
