I narrowly survived 7/11- Mugoga

Jul 12, 2013

I was part of a group of 11 revellers at the Ethiopian Village Restaurant, who included six American friends. When the bomb went off, I found myself caked with blood, but picked up myself and drove some of the survivors to Mulago Hospital.

I am still struggling to accept that I lost some people, who will never come back.

I get paranoid wherever I go and one of my friends could not leave his house yesterday.

I lost two children in the attacks - Mirembe

I lost two children, Brenda Nabachwa and Brian Kivumbi during the blast at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

Nabachwa and Kivumbi had just completed their degree programmes in journalism and education, respectively.

I am afraid some of the alleged masterminds of the terror attack will carry out more attacks and kill people if they are set free.

I lost my 24-year-old son, Edward Mawejje, during the bomb blast at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

It is still hard for my family to come to terms with Mawejje’s death, considering that he lived here in this house with us.

Previously, I could not even talk about the tragedy.

But now, I am growing stronger and with time, I hope we will get over it.
