Kaberamaido hosts world malaria day

Celebrations to mark World Malaria day have been held in the Eastern district of Kaberamaido.

Hundreds gathered at Boma grounds in Kaberamaido. The day is marked under the theme: “invest in the future; defeat malaria spray your house; stop malaria.”

Malaria is the leading cause of death among children in Uganda. It’s estimated that over 300 people die daily in Uganda over malaria.

Government has introduced indoor spray aimed at reducing the spread of malaria.
