THE Rugby Cranes team on Friday took time off to go to the cinema and watch Fast and Furious 6 to shed off the fatigue and stress of a tough training regime that they have been undergoing.
The team was led by team manager Brian Tabaruka and assistant coach Herbert Wafula.

“Yes we wanted them to rest because they have been undergoing tough training every day and this refreshes their minds from the daily routine of tough training,” Tabaruka stated.
Uganda and Kenya renew their regional rivalry on Wednesday July 10 as they clash in the first semi-final of the Africa cup and this will be the third tie between the two sides in two months.
“This has been good for us and the movie was also very entertaining,” team captain Michael Wokorach stated after.

The Rugby Cranes have an edge over neighbours Kenya in the past two semi-finals in 2007 where the Cranes mauled Kenya 24-12 and later crushed them 21-19 in the 2012 CAR semi-final in Tunisia but will enter the game out to revenge last month’s 19-13 defeat in the Elgon Cup.
Former Rugby Cranes captain Mathias Ochwo has expressed his satisfaction with the team and is confident that Uganda will emerge victors.
“The young boys on the team have matured after feeling the pain of losing at home and they are ready to step up and avenge that defeat,” Ochwo said before revealing that he will be traveling to Madagascar to inspire the boys.

Ochwo was injured during this year’s Bamburi Rugby Super Series tournament and has been ruled out for the entire year.
Kenya emerged overall winners of the Elgon Cup, the annual two-legged fixture played since 2004.
Despite losing the Elgon Cup to Kenya, the Rugby Cranes will march into this semi-final as favourites to progress to the final based on past sucesses.
