Gunmen kill Amuria businessman, injure 1

AMURIA - Unknown assailants on Monday night killed a 26-year-old man identified as Daniel Ojur. The deceased was a resident of Amukurat, Sugur parish, Wera Sub-county in Amuria district last night.

The district acting police commander, Amuria Richard Erimu, said the assailants who were armed opened gunfire at a shop attendant killing him and injuring one other person.

Erimu added that Kasimiri Ekaju who was also injured was rushed to Soroti referral Hospital.

He notes that investigations into the killing are on-going urging the public to voluntarily give information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Amuria resident district commissioner, Joseph Opio Osotto, condemned the act.
