Last night, over 200 marketers across the divide gathered at Silver Springs, Bugolobi and took notes from keynote speakers who took to the podium.

It was a vibrant evening started off with musical performances from Myko Ouma and his band as guests devoured before several speakers took to stage.

This was the fifth edition of Marketer's Night Out organised by Marketing Africa in partnership with Pepsi.

Dr. Mich Egwang, the night's host, ushered speaker after speaker to share their points and most urged marketers to mind their brands and front the customer's desires than anything else in these fast changing times.

"Put the customer ahead of you," urged MTN's Chief Marketing Officer Mapula Bodipe who was also one of the keynote speakers. "Our world has changed. Corporate trust is at lowest levels, so put your customers' demands ahead."

Another keynote speaker was Dr. Wale Akinyemi, the Chief Transformation Officer, Power Talks Consultants, who sent guests in fits of laughter with his humour-laced lessons. "You want to be a high performance person; you have to be a person who thinks highly. People have great ideas but do not execute,"

He added, "Like I always say, if your absence doesn't make a difference, your existence wasn't necessary." The vibrant evening ended at 11:30pm with some guests winning MTN hampers and gifts.
