Bishop Luwalira recognised for clerical work

The Diocesan Bishop of Namirembe, Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, was on Sunday awarded for his good clerical work.

The Diocesan Bishop of Namirembe, Rt Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, was on Sunday awarded for his good clerical work.


He was among the outstanding individuals who were recognized for their exceptional contribution in their careers.

The awards were organized by Ugandan North America Association (UNAA) and were held at St. Noah Serwanga Wampewo Church of Uganda during the special offertory ceremony of UNAA president; Brian Kwesiga.

While presenting awards to recipients, the president thanked the Bishop Luwalira for being exemplary.

"I wish to appreciate Bishop Luwalira for his good beneficial changes he has established at Namirembe in a short period he had been in office,” Kwesiga noted.

Faith Luwarila, who represented her husband, thanked the organizers for acknowledging her husband’s clerical work.
Earlier on Luwarila’s biography was read which highlighted his achievements over the years.

“I am extremely happy that my husband has been appreciated for his work especially for his clergy work,” she noted.

Other recipients of awards included; Kwagalana Group, Mrs Mulwana, Robert Kabushenga, Samuel Kizito,  Dr. Bulaimu
Kibirige,  Omulongo Zephania Kizza Seninde and Prof  David K Turyamureeba among others.  

On the same day, an internet radio; Uganda Crowd funding Network was launched by the president who said that the online platform will provide easy accessibility to vast networks of friends, and colleagues in Diaspora to get word about the business opportunities as well as attracting potential investors.

The proprietor of the radio, Stephen Kato Katende, Deputy Speaker UNAA Council urged the youth to take advantage of the platform by sharing their businesses which can be picked up potential investors.
