Police reshuffle: Omala heads to Busoga

INSPECTOR General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura has on Friday made changes to the police force with Senior Superintendent of Police, Sam Omala, being transferred to Greater Busoga as the Deputy Commander Bukedea Sector.
Omala has been the Field Force Unit Operations Commander-Kampala Metropolitan Police has been replaced by Superintendent of Police, Agero Rashid.
The Busoga region has recently been a hotspot for crime with Sheikhs Adbul Kadir Muwaya and Mustafa Bahiga as well as Buyinja sub-county chairperson, Peter Okware Tito, being gunned down by unknown assailants earlier this year.
In another change Assistant Commissioner of Police Kaali Fadhil has been appointed as Commander of the Special Field Force Regiment (SFFR), and will be deputized by Superintendent of Police, Ojandu AD Robert.
