EXPRESS played out a 1-1 draw with Electric Sport of Chad on Monday to book a date with Rwanda’s APR in the quarterfinals of the ongoing CECAFA Club Championship in Northern Darfur, Sudan.

Kenneth Igama, who came off the bench in the second half to replace Charles Ssemanda, notched the equalizer after Electric Sport had taken the lead.

Express tactician Sam Ssimbwa who has finally linked up with the team after encountering some barriers says he is not intimidated by APR

“Even though APR is a team that is a lot more experienced than us, we are not afraid to face them and we shall do our best to get to the semifinals,” Ssimbwa said after the game.

Uganda’s other representatives URA will take on Rayon Sport of Rwanda in the quarterfinals.
