HEALTH experts from the five East African Community (EAC) member states are meeting in Kampala for the 5th Annual East African and Scientific Conference in Kampala

HEALTH experts from the five East African Community (EAC) member states are meeting in Kampala for the 5th Annual East African and Scientific Conference in Kampala.

 

The three-day conference which opened on Wednesday will explore ways through which member states can address emerging health challenges facing the region.

 

Scientists from Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, Uganda and Tanzania will share experience on disease prevention, control and management.

 

The conference will also discuss the challenges posed by the rising burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDS);  access to safe and quality medicine and the ‘one health model of service.
