Coach Sam Ssimbwa is threatening to quit Villa Park if officials do not tame the Jogoos fans, who have always attacked him when they are not satisfied with a club result.

“I’m tired of these hooligans. They are always looking for an opportunity to attack me. They link me with KCCA every time we (Villa) do not win,” Ssimbwa said.

Villa dropped to second place on the table with 40 points, one behind Vipers.

On Friday after their 1-1 draw against Police FC at Nakivubo, Villa funs shouted obscenities at the 48-year old as they linked him with a return to coach KCCA FC. Ssimbwa was at KCCA in 2002 and 2009.

“I have talked to the president (Ben Misagga). I don’t think this should continue. I’m doing a job and I don’t want them (fans) to keep saying that I’m preparing grounds for KCCA to beat Villa. I have a contract at Villa and let them allow me do my job,” an irritated Ssimbwa said.

Villa has lost one out of their three Azam Premier League matches to Sadolin Paint, won against Rwenshama and drawn against Police and Ssimbwa insists he does not understand the fans tantrums.

The attack came at a time the coach is linked with a return to KCCA, a team SC Villa is due to engage at the Lugogo side.

Villa recruited Ssimbwa last October with a duty to turn their players into professional material by end of March 2015.
