Promoted senior army officers decorated

UPDF officers who were promoted have been decorated at a ceremony held at the ministry of Defence at Mbuya, a Kampala suburb.

The new Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Katumba Wamala was among the decorated officers.

Katumba will on Wednesday take over office from Gen. Aronda Nyakairima who was appointed Internal Affairs minister.

Other senior army officers decorated are Maj. Gen. David Muhoozi, who takes over from Katumba as Commander of Land Forces, Lt Gen Charles Angina the new Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Maj. Gen. Wilson Mbadi, Maj. Gen. David Muhoozi, and Maj. Gen. Samuel Turyagyenda among others.
