World Bank Group President,UN Secretary-General to visit Uganda

The World Bank has announced that Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will make a historic joint visit to Africa’s Great Lakes region from May 22 – 24.

The World Bank has announced that Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will make a historic joint visit to Africa’s Great Lakes region from May 22 – 24.
The visit, that will climax in Uganda, will be in support of a recent landmark peace agreement in the DRC and to push for economic development in one of the world’s most troubled regions.
Kim and Mr. Ban will travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from May 22 – 23; Rwanda from May 23 – 24th; and will be in Uganda on May 24.
