Thadeus Mubiru, the manager of embattled singer Iryn Namubiru, on Tuesday gave Asan Kasingye, the Director of Interpol Uganda, copies of affidavits in defence of Namubiru.

These are to be submitted to Interpol Japan and her private lawyer in Japan, Yuko Matsumoto to help prove her innocence.

The affidavits are those of Mubiru, Hilary Kiyaga alias Dr. Hilderman and Mubiru’s house maid Rashida Nakazinga.

Mubiru was accompanied to Kasingye’s office by Balaam Baruhagare, the singer’s music promoter and Andrew Benon Kibuuka, the president of Uganda Performing Artists federation.

Kasingye said he is constantly updating and communicating with his Japanese counterparts and added that his team is working around the clock to get to the bottom of the matter.

He also said he is about to complete his report, which he will hand over to Kale Kayihura, the Inspector General of Police.
