A few minutes after assuming office, Kahwa who replaced Sam Walusimbi who was absent at the assembly, promised to work together with clubs ahead of major events staring with the East Africa Challenge that is expected to be hosted in August this year.

“We have a long way to go but once all clubs are cooperative success is possible. It’s a challenge have to come in power a few month to the regional event but I promise it will be a success,” he explained.

At the assembly, only one member was entitled to vote from each club and of the nine paid up clubs, Defenders club was excluded from the proceedings following the entry of two different members who failed to reach an agreement on who was meant to vote.

The presiding officer passed a ruling to eliminate Defenders from the AGM.
