Newly Promoted Clubs — Icon Nansana and Boat Pool Clubs are flexing their financial power in the player transfer exercise going on currently.

The exercise will pave way for the start of the new Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) season due to start with the national league in March.

Icon are the most active in the transfer market having confirmed the signing of Ezra Kaggwa from Rock Catalina, Patrick Mujuzi and Andy Kiggundu from Spice Pool Club and Robert Tumusiime from Capital Night.

Earlier last week, Boat Pool Club recruited William Busingye and Joseph Kasozi.

Busingye, who formerly featured for Big Spenders, moved for an undisclosed fee.

With the new signings, Icon is expected to be a hard nut to crack in the national league. Already the club has formidable players including Eclas Katerega, Allan Nsubuga, Ibra Mulindwa, Arafat Ssenjala, Akim Baguma and Adam Otunnu.
