Ugandan singer, based in US, Zani Lady-C (born Susan Basemara) is hitting the right notes in her music career following the release of her new album.

Following the success of her popular song Ndoowa, a tuneful piece, Zani Lady-C has released a new album with unique sounds.

Produced by 2Face Idibia’s Producer, Femi Ojetunde, the latest album has collaborations with several music producers and Ugandan artists like Eddy Kenzo, Jackie Chandiru, Vampos, Racheal K.

She said about the album, “I am excited about this album. It was made by a great team and also featured Nigeria’s top artistes I won’t mention now because I do not want to spoil the surprise.”

The lead song off her new album is titled “Love You Golo Golo.”

Who is Zani?

She is known here as ‘90s dancehall star, Shanks Vivie D’s young sister.  She grew up in Uganda but later moved to US for greener pastures.

Currently based in California, Zani is also model and film actress, besides her singing career.

By eight, Zani was already exploring her musical talents by performing in school choir, youth centres and church choirs.

She was to later admit that her brother Vivi D inspired her so much to dig deep in music.

In 1995, she joined the famous Waka Waka band where she recorded her first singles “Sam Twonjiwanga” and “Yimirira awo.”

That opened doors for her and she never looked back.

It’s later on that she released songs like “Nakoowa” and “Bsemera”
