Uganda Lacrosse League

Saturday: MUBS Sports ground, Nakawa

Panthers v Oneonta

Warriaz v Kings

FANS always love to have the last game of the season as the title decider. This is what is going to happen when Panthers host defending champions Oneonta in a do-or-die encounter that will decide the new Lacrosse league champion.

“This is healthy for the game, having the champion being decided on the final day. Fellow players of other clubs and fans will enjoy the drama of the last day in the league,” Lacrosse General Secretary Maurice Sserunkuma explained.

In the last game of the day at MUBS sports playground in Nakawa, second placed Panthers will be out chasing history. This is the second edition of the national league for a game that is only three years old in Uganda.

Strykers, on 18points and three ahead of Panthers with a two goal difference have completed all their eight games. They will follow proceedings nervously and hope that Panthers lose their game or fail to win with a three goals margin.

Oneonta team captain Patrick Oriana and promising midfielder Andrew Musambi will be out to break Panthers’ hearts on their way to cementing third spot on the standings.

Panthers’ will look up to attacker Bruno Marando and midfielder Onen Castro for inspiration to lead their side through the 60 minutes.

In the first game of the day, Kings Cup holders Warriaz will take on Kings who are still ooking for their first win of the season.
