DESPITE nursing a compound fracture, Philip Wokorach could not be stopped from leading his team (Hana Mixed) to a 15-0 victory over Kyambogo College in the schools Rugby semi-final.

Wokorach, a Heathens fullback, who suffered a fracture a fortnight ago during the Nile Special Super Cup semi-final against Pirates, returned to the Hana bench as coach to inspire his side and is confident the team will lift this year’s title.

“Yes I’m in pain but am also very glad that my boys made it to the final and we are waiting for whoever goes through,” Wokorach stated in an interview after the game.

Paul Masendi scored a try while Moses Ikomba notched a try, penalty and conversion as Hana booked a place in the final against Namilyango who were 15-12 victors over traditional rivals SMACK.

The mouth-watering clashes were played at Kyadondo Rugby ground on Sunday which will also be venue for the final at the weekend.

Namilyango fly half Ivan Magomu scored a try, penalty and conversion against his former school and Arnold Wasswa added another try to seal Namilyango’s victory while Abian Kasiito scored SMACK’s four penalties.

Hana Mixed will meet defending champion Namilyango on Sunday in the final which is a repeat of the 2011 final.
