She Cranes dependable goal shooter Peace Proscovia will be out of training for three months because of a knee injury.

Proscovia is among 31 players called for non residential training ahead of the Netball World Cup set for Australia, August 7-16 next year.

The training programme started two weeks ago at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole but Proscovia could not join her colleagues because of the injury.

She went for tests that revealed the injury in either leg.

Proscovia, who said that she is now feeling better, is receiving treatment.

“I started feeling pain during the Six Nations Cup in Singapore but I didn’t take it serious,” Proscovia stated.

Uganda won the tournament following an unbeaten run last year.

Proscovia added that the pain intensified during other tournaments.

The player added that she was advised to seek treatment so that she can recover early enough and train for the World Cup.

The team that is training at Namboole is handled by the head coach Fred Mugerwa.
