Singer Martin Angume not dead, is admitted

Local artist Martin Angume is not dead contrary to media reports that circulated on various media waves early Tuesday.

New Vision online has established that the musician is alive but hospitalized at the National referral hospital, Mulago in Ward 4A in Kampala.

The singer was hospitalized on Sunday after complaining of general weakness.

“He told me that it might be malaria and asked me to take him to Mulago where we were retained.  He has strong hiccups which attack him every now and then and sometimes leading to consciousness but the situation is not worrying,” Julie Ssemuga, Angume’s wife on Tuesday.

He is one the best band music artists who has made a name by singing in the popular local dialect, Luganda, despite the fact that he is not a Muganda by tribe.

A number of artists rushed to Mulago Tuesday morning upon receiving news that their colleague had died.
