Mini-reshuffle in the army

President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, has carried out a mini reshuffle in the army.

President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, has carried out a mini reshuffle in the army.

The mini reshuffle announced on Saturday has seen some senior officers transferred and appointed to new positions.

Former army spokesperson Col. Felix Kulayigye now becomes the new Chief Political Commissar as Col. Paddy Ankunda steps right into his shoes as the force's spokesperson.

Col. Ankunda previously held the position of spokesperson and will be in familiar territory.

Also, Lt. Col. James Kaija who has been deputizing Col. Kulayigye is now the director research at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence.

Col. Diba Ssentongo becomes new chairman of the Wazalendo SACCO, which is the largest savings and credit cooperative in the country. Col. Ssentongo will also be in charge of Civil-Military Relations.

Another officer is Col. Mike Kisame who has been posted to Uganda's mission in Khartoum as the defence attaché while Lt. Col. Eunus Bagada who was the defence attaché in Khartoum, will join CMI.
