The family of the two-year-old knocked dead by a KCCA vehicle has vowed not to bury until the city authority compensates them.

The family also demands that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) sends a representative at the burial.

At the burial ground in Massajja near Kampala, there was heavy police deployment on Thursday afternoon.

The family of the deceased is however divided with some saying that the burial should go on whereas others oppose it.
“Why are we being forced to bury today? They want us to bury to kill evidence. We are not burying even if it takes a month until all our questions are answered,” the grief stricken mother Madina Namutebi said.

Kampala minister Frank Tumwebaze and the KCCA chief Jennifer Musisi, have apologized on behalf of the institution over the incident.

The deceased’s mother had been brought to KCCA court on Monday to City Hall Court following her arrest for street vending when the tragedy happened.
