Who will stop the UCU Canons? That’s the question TigerHead Power will attempt to answer when they face the form team of the Airtel National Basketball League (ANBL) today at the YMCA.
Sudi Ulanga and the Canons have turned around their season after making a small impression in the first round of the ANBL regular season.
The Canons have won five on the bounce in the second round and will start as favourites to make it six against a Power team that has not honestly hit the heights many expected at the start of the season.
Yet pressure does strange things to teams and it will be interesting to see how Nick Natuhereza’s Canons continue to cope with this latest windfall in attention.Fortunately, UCU have Ulanga and the star is playing with more aggression than he has shown in a long time.
No longer is Ulanga content to simply rely on his famed three-pointer. Now, he is more willing to drive the ball to the rim when defenders over-play.
“I’m reading what the defence is giving me and responding to that,” Ulanga told New Vision
