Muslims in Kabale have been urged to unite in order to develop. The acting deputy Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Khatwib Mukulu Wakika, made the call while meeting a delegation of Muslim leaders from Kabale district.
The group had visited him at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council headquarters at Gadaffi National Mosque last Friday.
Wakika said Kabale Muslims were lagging behind, especially in education and development and attributed this to the negligence of the past UMSC leaders.
He observed that the district lacks reputable Muslim schools as well as Islamic theological institutions.
