The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) was selected to be the 2nd Principal Recipient (PR) of the Global Fund funds in Uganda for the Civil Society Organisations under the Government of Uganda/Global Fund Round 10 Project to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.

The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) was selected to be the 2nd Principal Recipient (PR) of the Global Fund funds in Uganda for the Civil Society Organisations under the Government of Uganda/Global Fund Round 10 Project to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.

To support this Project, TASO plans to buy two (2) new vehicles with the specifications as detailed here below:

- Right Hand Drive, Tropicalised for Africa, 5-Door Station Wagon, 4 Wheel Drive

- 5-Speed, Manual transmission

- Engine capacity – 4000cc

- Fuel Type – Diesel

- Two (2) fuel tanks with capacity of 90 litres each

- Seating capacity of 9 persons.

- Tire Size – 750R16

- 5-Door with 2nd row seats facing forward and 2 parallel rear benches all with seat belts.

- Dual airbags (for driver and front passenger)

- Air-Conditioning provision.

- Spare wheel carrier

- Power steering

- Radio with CD player with front and rear speakers

- Side steps with assist-grips for easy entry and exit.

- Front bulbar with electric winch

- Ground clearance of 235 (mm) minimum.

- Rigid axle with front coils springs and rear leaf springs

- Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes

- Fitted with Roof rack that has provision for spare tyre locking

- Color white

Conditions of Submission:

1. Submission of completed quotations will close on 21ST January, 2013 at 10.30am and opening will be at 11.00am at TASO Headquarters Boardroom. Bidding Companies are encouraged to send representatives to witness the opening.

2. Completed quotations should be in sealed envelopes clearly marked “QUOTATION FOR TWO VEHICLES”

3. Completed Quotations will be received at TASO Headquarters Front Desk Office/ Reception between 8.30am and 4.30pm on working days only.

4. The quotation should indicate the payment terms and delivery period after one is successful.

5. The vehicle should be quoted as delivered and on-road ready for use.

NB:

1. Selection of the best bidder and award of the supply contract will be based on technical compliance to the specifications as stated above, actual and apparent costs, proposed delivery period, after-sales support services within the country and payment terms.

2. TASO (U) LTD shall not be bound to select the lowest bidder.
