Two killed in Ndeeba gunfire

TWO unidentified people have died after gunfire broke out in Ndeeba a Kampala suburb on Wednesday evening.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear but according to police, one person was rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries while one was arrested.

A man only identified as Godfrey Muhairwe, a businessman, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Emmanuel Ayebare, the OC CID Katwe Police Station, who immediately rushed to the scene, confirmed to New Vision that the arrest had been made but declined to divulge further details.

Even though the identities of the injured and deceased were still scanty by press time, residents who witnessed the drama unfold, claimed one of those killed was a police officer.
