KAMPALA - This year’s Senior Four candidates start their final examinations today, with a briefing in the 3,006 centres across the country.

Although the briefing which is part of the preparatory stage does not constitute the actual examinations, head teachers use the moment to educate their students on the code of conduct expected during the time of writing papers.

According to deputy executive secretary of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), Dan Odong, the briefing also presents a platform for school authorities to warn their students against malpractice.

Final timetables for the exams will also be issued to candidates during the briefing.

Writing of exams starts on Monday, with Geography Paper one in the morning and Geography Paper two in the afternoon. The exams will end on Monday November 18 with Technical Drawing, an optional paper.

Draft registers, Odong said have been returned by the heads of examination centres and the final registers will be issued together with the rest of the exams’ materials by the end of this week.

Writing of senior examinations kickoffs after the completion of orals and some practicals.
