Muslims who beg at mosques should stop and get work to do because they can only get what they want through working, Sheikh Suleiman Ssozi has said. Ssozi was giving a sermon during Juma prayers at Mukwano Mosque in Kampala last week.

He said most of these Muslims have a tendency of moving from mosque to mosque begging. “A Muslim who goes to work is very religious compared to the one who just sits at home and thinks of begging because if you work with the intention of feeding your people at home, you will have performed Sadaq,” Ssozi added. He said by begging, one loses dignity and can never command respect in society.

“Think of the best when looking for jobs because Allah provides for you according to your intentions. Let us look for work,” Ssozi appealed.
