Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has recruited 50 people to head city parishes. Each person will earn sh3.4m and will report to the division town clerk.

The ward administrators have now replaced the parish chiefs who used to serve under the Kampala City Council, said an official from the human resource directorate.

According to KCCA’s human resource department, 26 out of the 50 people have started work. The chairman, KCCA audit and revenue committee, Apollo Mugume, confirmed their appointment. Among their targets is boosting local revenue and sensitising masses on policies.
