Ugandan kick-boxer Ronald Mugula has promised to humiliate Moses Golola’s tormentor Andras Nagy in today’s Mauy Thai super welterweight world title fight at Kyadondo rugby ground.

Mugula will rely on his impressive record of 42 wins in his 58 fights in Europe to upstage the Hungarian, whose lethal weapon (elbowing) has been restricted from the fight.

“He is a good fighter but I have prepared myself. He will go down in the second round,” Mugula assured the nation shortly before his weigh-in on Thursday.

Mugula weighed 67kg, one kilo lighter than Nagy.

Although the slender fighter has suffered 10 losses and 6 draws, his stretch of 22 KOs in the 42 victories registered before suggests an even fight against the Intercontinental champion.

“Mugula is a good fighter according to the video clips and his experience. It is going to be a tough fight. I do not understand why experienced fighters like him can fear elbows.

"Elbows are part of the sport and I love them because they are my best weapon. I will still handle without elbowing,” Nagy remarked in reference to the K1 style of fighting that will be considered.

Mugula has had a rich four weeks training from Japanese coaches Ice Owa and Hitoshi Kimura, and German Tchilo Schneider who joined him 13 days back.

The local kick boxer is also ranked 18th in the world.
