A two-year-old boy was intercepted by security operatives before reaching President Museveni at Rutookye town in Mitooma district.
The little boy beat the outer security ring before he started his journey to where the President was to address crowds of people who had gathered to listen and have a glimpse of him towards the end of this week.
The boy took advantage when a reverend of the area offered long prayers and he started moving towards the President.
Before the little boy could move closer to the President, a security operative beckoned him to stop but he continued walking confidently.
As drama unfolded the President was enjoying the scene of seeing a little boy moving towards his public address vehicle as his security men were struggling to stop him.
The stubborn boy seemed to enjoy the cat and mouse chase with the security operatives as he ran around while laughing.
All this happened before the President addressed the public and after singing the National and East African anthems.
After the boy’s attempt to get closer to President was swatted he finally went back to his mother who declined to give her name.
The President was in the district to launch rural electrification and to commission Rutooke town water supply and sanitation scheme for South Western branch.
