Court of appeal confirms lands minister Tororo MP

Court of Appeal Tuesday overturned a High court ruling and confirmed lands state minister, Sarah Achieng Opendi, Tororo Woman Member of Parliament.

Opendi’s victory had been nullified by Tororo High court Judge, Rugadya Atwooki, on grounds that she bribed voters, and that the Electoral Commission did not comply with the rules, during the elections.

She petitioned the court of appeal for a review of the case.
