Abdulahi Ramadhan scored a game high 17 points to inspire Tiger Head Power to a 65-59 win over the UCU Canons in the National Airtel Basketball League at YMCA, Kampala on yesterday
The flashy point guard also picked six rebounds to help his side return to winning ways following their 102-92 loss to the Warriors earlier on.
Joseph Ikong added 16 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists to ensure the star-studded team won the closely contested encounter.
Shooting guard, Paul Odong was the other one of three Power players in double figures with 14 points and five boards in the contest.
Playing without their influential point guard, Sudi Ulanga, the Canons were led by Ivan Lumanyika who together with Jonathan Egau were the only players who registered double figures with 12 points apiece.
Innocent Odour (9 points), Sunday Okot (8) and Yahaya Kalyesubula (8) were also on target for the Mukono-based outfit who are playing below their usual best.
In the women’s game, KCCA Leopards were 47-39 winners over A-1 Challenge in another low scoring game.
Point guard Flavia Oketcho led the Leopards with 13 points with towering Peace Proscovia adding 10 for the 2011 champions.
Joanah Birungi (6), Agnes Nantongo, Barbara Okot and Victoria Ntale scored 5 points each for the less impressive A-1 Challenge.
A-1 Challenge are struggling to keep up pace with the table leaders.
