The councilors wanted the budget presentation to be held at the Imperial Resort Hotel but the technical team had already booked at the Imperial Botanical Hotel, whose accommodation was slightly cheaper. Both hotels are in Entebbe in Wakiso sistrict.

Councilors on Friday during a special council meeting resolved that the venue be changed from Imperial Botanical hotel, to Imperial Resort hotel.

“There prodedurse to be followed to change venue and a change in venue mean revising the initial figure,” Julius Kabugo from the treasury department said.

A night booking at the Imperial Resort Hotel is US$ 130 compared to Us$110 at the Imperial Botanical Hotel.

KCCA Public relations officer, Peter Kaujju said KCCA has to follow the prodecures in the PPDA Act.

“The councilors requested for a particular hotel , on Friday and we would not work out the changes over the weekend so we have made fresh requisitions, when we complete the process we shall  have the budget presented. ” he said
